Installation
NOTE: All installation steps should be completed by a licensed electrician
Verify installation location and access to electrical cabinet
The local utility may need to be involved if cabinets are locked
Install the CTs
Clamp CTs around main cable lines, bus bars, or circuits to be monitored
The directional arrow on the CT should point towards the load (with the flow of current) for both RoCoil and Hinged Split-Core CTs
Route CT leads back to the Power Kit and land them in the terminals shown below (CT leads and voltage reference wires should be run in separate conduits)
For most installations, the CT4 terminals are not needed
For RoCoil CTs, the white wire is positive (+), the brown wire is negative (-), and the shielding can be clipped or wrapped around the other leads.
Do not splice (cut or extend) CT leads for RoCoil CTs
For Hinged Split-Core CTs, the white wire is positive (+) and the black wire is negative (-)
CT leads for Hinged Split-Core CTs can be spliced if needed
Tap the voltage reference and route the wires back to the Power Kit (CT leads and voltage reference wires should be run in separate conduits)
Ensure all installation cable routing is up to local codes and standards
Completed Installation Example
Configuration
Log into the attune platform and go to the system status page
Match the general modbus settings shown below
Read desired modbus registers from the map attached at the bottom of this page
Ensure to include Phase Angle for all phases as these are needed for installation verification
Verification and Troubleshooting
In the system status, select Phase Angle for each amperage to its respective line voltage from the channel dropdown on the bridge. The chart should look similar to the one below
The ideal values are 0 for I1 to V1, 120 for I2 to V2, and 240 from I3 to V3 but anything +/- 20 is acceptable
In the example screenshot, I1 to V1 is installed correctly since anything less than zero goes back to 359 and decreases from there
If the values are significantly different please follow the troubleshooting steps below
An offset of 180 indicates that the CT is backwards. Reversing the polarity of wires at the terminal will remedy this
If any Phase Angle has a value that a different one should have, that indicates the CT and voltage reference do not match. Moving the CT wires to that phase will remedy this
For example, if you see a phase angle reading of 0 on I3 to V1, you know that based on the voltage angle, 0 degrees should align with phase A and therefore the phase C CT would need to be moved to phase A.
